Joon Kim
Co-founder, Curriculum, and Tech Guide
Joon Kim found his calling to be a teacher back in high school. After majoring in English at UC Irvine and getting his teaching credential from CSULB, he taught English for 10 years at Bellflower High School, after which he moved to Garden Grove High School where he has been teaching Photography, Multimedia Production, Journalism, and Yearbook for the past 11 years. At Garden Grove HS, he created the Video Production Team, the Web Team, and also took on the role of Yearbook and Journalism adviser. He led many student teams to produce professional caliber and award winning work and saw the power of a vision transforming students from passive learners into creative, passionate producers. The calling to be a teacher is still there but it is being refined and sharpened each day as he takes on the role of a learner and a mentor.
