History of Acton Academy
In 2009, Jeff and Laura Sandefer launched the first Acton Academy in Austin, Texas with five students. Since that time, the Acton Academy Austin has grown to a full Kindergarten to 12th school, spawned dozens of student run businesses, and been featured in the news as a 21st century model of “disruptive education." http://www.actonacademy.org |

While Acton Academy will launch in the Fall of 2015 in Garden Grove, it has been in the works in the hearts and minds of its founders for decades. Acton Academy Orange County is founded on the model and principles of Acton Academy Austin. We are committed to nurturing a learner driven community of students embarking on their own hero’s journey. |
